The part. The paperwork. The handover.

For engineering teams, airports, MROs and spares suppliers. Include the details that matter.

  • Components, spares & tooling

Give the part number, item description, quantity and packed dimensions and weight. Identify fragile, high-value or unusual loads before a vehicle is agreed.

  • Collection & delivery deadline

Send the ready-to-collect time, required delivery time and time zone. Include full addresses, landside handover locations and a named contact with telephone number at each end.

  • Packing & consignment documents

Use suitable protective packaging and identify securing or lifting needs. Supply a packing list or manifest, part references and any applicable release, customs or export documents. Do not include sensitive documents in this page; send them through an agreed contact route.

Specialist requirements? Confirm first.

Airside access, airport cargo-security acceptance, dangerous goods (including lithium batteries), customs and export documentation are quoted and confirmed per job.

No airside permission, ADR certification, cargo-security status or dangerous-goods acceptance is implied. Tell us about batteries, fluids, aerosols or pressurised items before booking.

Tail-lift, curtain-side, temperature control and specialist packing are on request. Timing and vehicle availability must be agreed; no guaranteed 24/7 response is offered.

From urgent enquiry to an agreed road leg.

Road transport licensing. Clear boundaries.

Standard international O-Licence for road transport. Licence details available on request.

The operator has confirmed that it holds a standard international Goods Vehicle Operator Licence. The licence is held by the operator, not by individual vans. Request operator identity and licence details.

AOG describes an urgent aviation-related service need; it is not an official vehicle class or an aviation certification. We arrange the road movement, not aircraft flight operations or a release to service.

Separate permissions still matter.

A road operator licence does not grant airside access, dangerous-goods permissions, cargo-security approval or customs clearance. Each requirement must be checked and expressly agreed for your consignment.

International road movements need a separate route-specific quote and applicable documents and permissions. They are not promised at the UK calculator rates.

GOV.UK operator licensing guidance · CAA cargo-security guidance

A few things worth knowing.

Is this an all-inclusive AOG price?

No. The calculator uses the same public logistics tariff for UK road transport only. Specialist handling, airside access, cargo-security requirements, dangerous goods and customs or export work require a separate job-specific quote and confirmation.

How are journeys up to 40 miles priced?

UK car journeys start from £19 up to 20 miles and are £40 over 20 to 40 miles. Other flat journey charges are £40 for small van; £45 for SWB; £55 for MWB or LWB; £60 for XLWB; £70 for Luton. These exclude VAT, waiting and specialist extras.

What happens above 40 miles?

The flat rate no longer applies. The price is the vehicle’s base charge plus its per-mile rate multiplied by all journey miles, not just the excess. That creates a price step at the boundary, reflected in the estimate. The slider starts at 20 miles for a car and 40 miles for other vehicles, with a maximum of 300 miles.

How are VAT and waiting calculated?

Rates exclude VAT. The calculator shows VAT at 20% and the inclusive total separately. Waiting is extra at £10 to £30 per hour, depending on vehicle; we estimate hourly rate × minutes ÷ 60. Confirm the charging arrangement before booking. There is no separate weighing charge in this tariff.

Can you deliver airside at an airport?

Not as a blanket promise. Give the precise handover point, consignee, access instructions and any escort or permit requirements. Airside access and airport cargo-security acceptance must be quoted and expressly confirmed per job. A road operator licence is not an airside pass or cargo-security approval.

What about lithium batteries or dangerous goods?

Declare them before booking, including batteries contained in equipment, fluids and pressurised components. Send the classification and applicable packing and transport documents through the agreed contact route. Carriage requires explicit confirmation; no ADR or CAA approval is claimed. Read CAA lithium-battery guidance.

What information should an AOG enquiry include?

Part description and reference, quantity, packed dimensions and gross weight, suitable packing, manifest or packing list, collection-ready time and delivery deadline with time zone. Add full addresses, named contacts and telephone numbers, access details and any applicable release, customs or export documents.

Are international movements included?

No. Request a separate international quote with the route, border crossings and consignment documents. Customs, export requirements, permits and other charges must be assessed for that job. GOV.UK export declaration guidance.

Does an enquiry book a vehicle or guarantee the deadline?

No. The message is prepared locally for you to copy or download and email to hi@wasup.co; this page submits nothing. Availability, an achievable deadline, handling and the final quote must be agreed before booking. There is no guaranteed 24/7 response or return-to-service promise.

What does “cheaper than” mean?

It is our company’s price claim for parts delivery, not an independently verified comparison. Provider logos identify the companies, not partners or endorsements. Service scopes and job requirements differ; compare like-for-like written quotes. No competitor rates or percentage savings are assumed.

Do the postcodes calculate the route?

No. They describe the journey in your enquiry. Supply total collection-to-delivery route miles yourself; the final route and charge need confirmation.

Is AOG an official van or licence class?

No. Aircraft on Ground describes an urgent aviation maintenance situation. It is not a vehicle class or certification. The operator’s standard international O-Licence covers road transport, not aircraft operation, airside access or the specialist permissions mentioned above.
